Conflict of Interest Disclosure

Lanö News is published by Lanö Contemporary Art Gallery, which sells artwork. That is a real conflict of interest. Rather than downplay it, we bind ourselves to rules that can be checked.

Standing Rules

  • Any article naming an artist represented by the gallery carries an automatic disclosure line. The flag is stored in the database, so it does not depend on a writer remembering.
  • Works owned or consigned by the gallery are excluded from any price index we publish.
  • Every auction or market figure we publish carries a link to its source. No exceptions.
  • Advertising and sponsored placement are visibly marked as such.
  • Commercial blocks below an article sit outside the editorial container and under a separate heading.

What This Does Not Cover

These rules reduce the conflict; they do not remove it. Readers making financial decisions should treat our market coverage as one source among several.

Raising a Concern

If you believe coverage was influenced by commercial interest, write to info@lanocontemporary.com. Substantiated cases are recorded on the Corrections page.
