We publish corrections openly. Credibility comes from admitting error quickly, not from appearing never to make one.

How We Correct

A factual error is corrected in the article itself, with a note stating what changed and when.
A substantial error is additionally listed on this page.
A headline that misled is corrected, and the original wording is recorded.
We do not quietly delete. Where a report must be withdrawn, we explain why.
