Our Commitments

  • We use professional means to obtain information and state our identity as journalists.
  • We test information, separate fact from opinion, and apply the presumption of innocence.
  • We do not publish false, slanderous, obscene, or sensational material.
  • We do not identify victims of sexual offences or children in conflict with the law.
  • We do not misuse our position and do not accept bribes.
  • We honour embargo and off-the-record agreements.
  • We correct errors promptly and serve the right of reply.

Gifts, Travel, and Hospitality

Writers must disclose any invitation, travel, or accommodation paid for by a gallery, fair, or artist. Where such support affected a piece of coverage, that is stated in the article itself.
