Lanö News operates under the Pedoman Pemberitaan Media Siber issued by Dewan Pers (Indonesian Press Council). The points below summarise how we apply it.
News is verified before publication. Where a report concerns a party who may be harmed and verification is not yet complete, that fact is stated in the article and the report is completed as soon as verification is obtained.
Comments, submissions, and other user content are subject to our terms. Content that violates the law or the Journalistic Code of Ethics is removed once identified, and we act promptly on reports.
Corrections and retractions are published together with the reason and the time they were made. The right of reply is served proportionally. See our Corrections page and Right of Reply page.
Published reports are not removed on request, except where they concern matters of decency, the identity of victims of sexual offences, the identity of children in conflict with the law, or where a legal ground requires it.
Advertising and sponsored placements are visibly marked so that readers can tell them apart from editorial content.
We respect copyright. Archive material is republished only where permission has been granted or the work is in the public domain.
The authoritative text of this guideline is published by Dewan Pers at dewanpers.or.id. Where this page differs from the official text, the official text prevails.
